If Clinton had been elected, Garland would have been withdrawn for another extremist like Kagan, and if Republicans filibustered it, the Dems would have been the first to go nuclear. Hopefully, Trump gets 2 more selections to influence the next 30 years.

Your issue lies in your hatred of Trump the man. I am far more concerned about what Trump can do to influence the courts and policy rather than whether or not I like him. Although I do admit, I've always been a fan of the Trumpster's brash and swashbuckling mannerisms. I think its actually uniquely American in the Charles Bronsonish, Chuck Norrisage sort of way. There are even some overtones of Bogart and Cagney laced in. Given time, you will learn to love this style.
