I just got this game, finished the tutorial and campaign and started playing the actual game.
Strangely all AIs built exclusively constructors - in the hundreds. I wonder what caused this? Anybody has seen this before?

Also a few more personal thoughts on how to improve the gameplay. Welcome inputs!
(1) United planets is a good concept but does nothing meaningful / influential (intended?). One meeting they elected me to be the host (+50% influence) and the next we decided we don't need a host... OK.
(2) Tech trading is OP. Maybe trade only one tech every N turns.
(3) Early game colony spam is OP and so is conquest. There should be some diminishing return.
(4) Pirate bases should be visible on the mini-map after discovering them. (I set them to be abundant - tedious to mark them) - that said, maybe it is useful to give each hex a coordinate like (X,Y).
