Or filter out any sort of similar clutter on the map when I zoom out all the way?
Somewhere in the game settings there is probably something that could help with what you want a little bit. From the main menu, select "Options" (I think). Under one of the tabs on that screen there are a bunch of lists of different zoom level effects. Basically those settings let you determine at what zoom level things disappear from your visible display. I'm sorry I am being pretty vague, but I am just too lazy to bother logging into the game at the moment to provide specific instructions on how to get to that screen. Hope this helps
