Autoturn fails if last ship attacks a planet.

After attacking a planet with a star fighter the ship still had a move left (normal?). After moving the ship it showed
still selected with 0 moves. TAB and FIND did not find another ship to move (there were two others not in orbit), so I
assume all of the ships had moved this turn. This is inconsistant with anything else I have ssen, but perhaps this is a
good thing. It allows one to decide whether or not one wishes to change any destinations given to other ships. But...

Same behavior after attacking a ship.

Interesting. Thanks John.

Jack, did you move the ship with auto-pilot? Were the other ships on auto-pilot? Do you know if the other ships had (or should have had) destinations?

The attack and the move afterwards was manually directed using the number pad while the ship was adjacent to the planet or ship I am attacking.

Also, I have noticed that after attacking a ship the empty space previously occupied by the distroyed ship can not be entered during the same
turn. This is similar to the report I made about not being able to land a transport on a planet in the same turn after destroying all of the
enemy ships in orbit. Are these problems related?

Interesting,
how can you attack a planet with a transport on the same turn that you destroy all ships in orbit? When I have a transport beside a planet it gets destroyed if you attack ships in orbit. Transports only move one space per turn. So if you cannot have a transport beside the planet (or it gets destroyed) you cannot possibly capture the planet on the same turn anyway.
Or am I missing something?

Paul.

Um...I'm not sure about the transport problem. It's true that if you're targetting a ship and it gets destroyed, you can't move into its space immediately.

Paul,
Why is your transport getting destroyed when you are attacking a planet with, what I assume is, a ship with
attack capabilities? This has not happened to me, but I may have been protecting my transport by moving it with
my attacking ship (always in the same place). Next time around I am going to put my transport next to a planet
in a space by itself while attacking an enemy planet or enemy ship to see what happens.

Jack
