Another Idea for site improvement

We presently have several categories for our skins when we upload them: computers, OS, etc. Would it be possible to add a few categories? ex: dark skins, white skins, grey/blue skins, etc? Just an idea, but I would find these examples much more useful than some that are already in place when searching the site.

The present categories that are available when a skin is uploaded don't seem very useful to me. I mean really, food? Has anyone ever made a skin that was in the food category?

Now watch there be a ton of them

Different color categories would IMO be more useful than some of the present choices.

hmmmm... I don't know. quite frankly, I wonder about how serious skinner take the catogories in the first place. Some skins that say they are OS are in general and other who might be put in on catogory or another seem to be placed wrong.

The choice is up to the skinner, even with that a skinner can make a mistake or better yet not even notice the catogory area when uploading.

Anyway, I guess it would be easier to look for skins of a certain color if there was a category for them it might (might) help. just not to sure about it...

It would help a lot when you are trying out a new blind and want a different wall to match ot visa-versa.

I for one would take the categories a little more seriously when uploading if there were some color options, that's why I mentioned it. My last skin fits under computers, misc, psuedo OS, general, shell themes, etc. Probably every category except food and religion. Hoowever, it would fit best under a dark skin category. I think a couple of new additions by color would really help when people are searching. I think most have a pretty good idea of what they are looking for when they come here, but would have to spend hours searching through "computers" or "misc" to find a nice white theme, or whatever just because most general categories are so full of skins it isn't really narrowing it down very much. I think this would be nice for skins as they get older too; putting them on any type of shorter list will increase the lifespan of their downloads I would think.

I guess it is a good suggestion. or better yet, have cross catogories like being able to select multipul categories

Yeah, I'm not saying remove any, just add to the list, more options, not different
