Oh... thanks so much! I feel really stuck here. My sis is homeless now, and staying here a lot but she is intellectually bizarre... if I give her the TV it is better. but so many times I feel really cut off... And I can't get out much right now ........

um....... sorry to be so emotive, it is just that I am so isolated with this! she watches the cartoons, I sneak onto the internet.....

You sound scared...I hope you are okay and feel safe...nothing worse than being a prisoner in your own home.

... one morning I woke up and turned on the news. The first shuttle disaster was showing then. Ever since then I have turned on the news (sometimes many times a night) to make sure the world was still there... I woke up o 9/11 and saw the whole thing unfold real time...

maybe it is not good, but it is a little better than living with a sense that something might be wrong. Most of the time I see nothing is wrong (that much) and I get a little sleep. Maybe big global news makes my own little disaster seem a little more tolerable, I am not sure. Right now, I don't know how much longer I can deal with this. So you see, real time news that no one can take away from me is going to be a real blessing and I thank you so much!

...........right now i feel homeless.

GM, you are feeling unplugged from the world right now...stripped of your ability to feel cohesive within a community of some sort in a sane sort of way but we are here for you. um, yrag? I have noticed that you are always especially supportive and helpful. I didn't mean to discount your MSNBC link. It is just that when I can watch TV that is the news I watch, and then when she switches channels on me I have turned to MSNBC on the internet only to find that the bulletin that had started to show on television is absent from the internet for quite a long time. (I know frustration makes it seem longer)
