how to show All Programs menu first (on click of Start10)?

Start10 is treating me right so far. However, I can't seem to figure out how to make it display the All Programs menu immediately on click/open. Or at the very least, make it look better. Is it all the Win10 default apps that are shown with pure black and white like a throwback monitor?

It always starts with a "recently opened apps" menu, and then I can click to switch to "All Programs" view. Want it to start with the latter.
