X Box vs PS2 vs GameCube vs PC

X Box vs PS2 vs GameCube vs PC

I figured to start another "vs" thread because the last one was fun!

So...

1) What is your favorite system, no matter how old?
2) What is your favorite game?
3) What would you like to own as a dream game system?

You guys need to get a clue.
Yes they are releasing a version of Final Fantasy for gamecube BUT NOT FINAL FANTASY 11!
Final Fantasy 11 will be played mostly online. Since Gamecube Does not support online play, PS2 will be used. Check it out:

And here:

Here is a bit of what was said:

FINAL FANTASY XI Public Beta Test begins for PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system and for Windows!

Chew on that for awhile Tech! And BTW some of the BEST games are on PC!

And yes, even PS2 is cheaper than Nintendo's piece of crap system.

"And yes, even PS2 is cheaper than Nintendo's piece of crap system."

Look Nintendo makes high quality hardware. Anyone that has owned Nintendo hardware can testify to the durability and workmanship of their products. When I bought my Gamecube, the store person offered me a extended warrenty which I turned down. He told me that when it comes to XBOX and PS2 he really pushes the extended warrenty because those systems tend to breakdown more.

Thats funny. Nothing to say about Final Fantsy Tech?

KONA'S GOT TECH CORNERED AGAIN!!

BTW maybe Nintendo does make good stuff. FOR KIDS! I will stick to what I like, plain and simple. And what's cheaper.

"Since Gamecube Does not support online play, PS2 will be used."

Hello! Ever heard of the Gamecube modem? All three systems support online play. Now stop making false statements about a system you don't have, don't like, and know nothing about.

Hello! There are T and M rated games for Gamecube too. I have already told you this before. How many times do I have to repeat this before it gets through your thick skull. Nintendo is not just for kids, it's for everyone.

Actually I told you I have one.

But the fact remains Final Fantasy is sticking to PS2. Give me a minute and I will show you why Gamecube is NOT on top and Xbox is...

Hello! Ever heard of the Gamecube modem?

Why would I pay extra for something both Xbox and PS2 have built in right out of the box? I am sure for the price I can just buy a new game for my XBox

Do we have a ref in this war?

PS2 never had online gaming built in until recently. The PS2 I have was reduced to the $179.99 price tag while the new PS2 that includes the modem now holds the $199.99. It's the same PS2 except the modem is inluded in the box so it's not really built in.

For XBOX, online gaming does not work unless you own a XBOX Live kit with a subscription to XBOX Live. Online gaming costs extra for XBOX.

BTW I am not going to argue about Final Fantasy because that is one game I don't care about. It makes no difference to me what system any game I don't care about is on. Argue that one with Alexandrie.

no thanks. he argues to well!

Nintendo GameCube
Great game development is an art and Nintendo is a master of art. Nintendo has always been the place to find the greatest games and now they'll be better than ever. Compact and stylish, the Nintendo GameCube is a huge technological leap and it's also home to the games that will set the standard for the next generation.

What's more, the specifically optimized 485-Megahertz processor and other cutting-edge design features gurantee that the Nintendo GameCube can easily adapt to future technology.

Nintendo created the GameCube with the purpose of realizing the highest level of performance and to enhance the productivity of software development. This is Nintendo's vision of what a next generation game machine should do.

Instead of going for the highest possible performance, which does not contribute to software development, the idea was to create a developer-friendly next generation TV game machine that maintained above-standard capabilities.

In order to accomplish this, Nintendo has introduced 1T-RAM technology, which has a minimum of delays, into the main memory and the Graphics LSI Mixed Memory. Also, secondary cache memory with a large capacity was implemented in the MPU. With this combination they have succeeded at creating reliable functionality that can be used with actual games.

The Nintendo GameCube will carry on the "DNA" of Nintendo games and give birth to a new kind of entertainment that surpasses existing concepts of what great gaming is!

The whole point is I do not have to pay for a extra piece of harware.

And if I had a Xbox, my MSN account would work on it with my MSN DSL account...
And I have to wonder... do the words Intel 733, Nvidia, Ethernet, and DVD make your little gamecube shake? It better!
...but you still need to buy something extra to get online to work. The XBOX Live kit. Read the XBOX owner's manual. It says you have to buy that kit if you want to connect to XBOX Live.
Intel and Nvidia sucks.

XBOX does not play DVDs unless you buy their $30 DVD remote. I still would rather use a real DVD player. When it comes to PS2 DVD playback, even an APEX brand DVD player is better.
I think it is plug and play if you already have a MSN account. That is why my MSN people said I could use the xbox and offered me a 50 dollar discount on a Xbox....
BTW Gamecube runs on the same kind of processor that Macs use you little Mac lover.

I like PCs... LMFAO!
You still need to buy the kit. I don't know if you need to order a subscription since you are a Microsoft Internet customer but still the online play does not work without the kit.
Intel and Nvidia sucks.

They only suck because you can't afford em... get real read some news. Intel is about to put AMD out of business (sadly) and the P4 IS the fastest chip on the face of the earth (for personal PCs) with the exception of the new G5.
As far as Nvidia, they make the best video cards and damn good chipsets. Do some research man!

#113 by Tech Cat - 7/20/2003 7:16:35 PM Yes XBOX has a built in ethernet card but it does NOTHING without the XBOX Live kit and the subscription to XBOX Live.

Ever heard of Xbox Connect? $30 for the remote and how much for the Gamecube modem?

Does the Gamecube play DVDs?

Nvidia sucks and ATI rules. Gamecube uses an ATI and has made a deal with ATI to have them provide the graphics cards for future Nintendo consoles. AMD rules because it is advanced technology at a lower price. If Intel takes AMD out of business, it's only because Intel is probably doing the same kind of anti-competitive activities Microsoft does. If all the PC has is Intel and Microsoft with no alternatives then I would rather go Mac.
