start menu size

when i change the start menu icons to small the start menu goes small aswell, is there a way to have the icons small without the start menu getting smaller?

ummm...Hippy, wouldn't there just be a lot of extra space in the start panel backgrounds? Why would they run off the top?

It is like it at the moment but when i click on a program it goes it the start menu recent program list.

If you increase the number of items in the programs list then it'll stay the larger size because it has to have room to fit all the programs on it.

yea i have set it to 10 but i only want to have 5 there and every time i click on something in programs in appears on the start menu

that's still the only way to keep it larger if you want to use small icons
