Why Wincustomize.com is late so much in to publish the designs?

I write in this forum to know if someone of the team of webmaster or someone person in charge of the site, can explain to me because they are late so much in to publish the designs that they place in the servant. On Saturday a pack of icons publishes and until today in the night it was that approved them, and I spend it because write 3 emails, in the last one it was surely that it read and published my pack. That there is an information of which there is a maximum of 5 days to publish the designs, but which is the reason of which they are late so much? It is that nothing mas works a person who supervises and monitoring the designs that they place in the servant for his approval and publication? I lamentably have had to publish my designs in other sites (deviantart.com) to be able to show my designs of immediate way. Thank you

Weboso, being as English seems to be your second language (You are doing great though!) you may find this a bit perplexing to the administrators here who may take some extra time to look things over...

Once you are an fairly 'established' author here (regular guy) then people/admins will know who you are and be more readily accepting of your works...

Give our administrators time. They are only human and looking out for the best interest of everyone involved here...after all...

One huge, ugly lawsuit could render this whole site useless and then where would we be? We have to respect Brad/Stardock and all of the admins for the work they do to keep us in one happy piece/peace!

And, unlike many other sites, we check ALL submissions for copyright etc. That is why there is usually a few days waiting time. Try to be patient, we are just trying to protect authors rights.

Hi, certainly that English is not my second language and it I do not dominate, it is not necessary to to be a motive of jeer either, I try to communicate to me the better thing that I can. With regard to my point what I do not understand it is because there must be a level of approval while in the rest of the sites it is not, they allow to publish the designs of immediate way without bigger problem. Now if it is for check copyright and other things, I do not believe that they are published mas of 100 daily designs since in order that not of time of monitoring all.

I'm sorry if you don't like waiting, but we are volunteers, we don't get paid for doing this, everyone has to wait. If you want your work on the best site in the world, you'll have to be patient. Now tell me the name of your icon pack, and I will try to find it and let you know why it has not been published.

Boxxi, thank you for your interest to solve my problem, but in view of that already they were going to expire 5 days, I found the email of frogboy, and I believe that he was who me solvent the problem. With regard to that to you they are voluntary, I like to know if I can be a volunteer, or is needed something special requirement to be able to collaborate. Thank you

Jafo, Installing Stardock Central, I did the record of information, and there places a nick that I use also in other sites and modify the membership of wincustomize, and tomorrow he will contact the manager in order that to solve the problem.

Patience is a virtue.

Some sites rely on the Author to actually own the rights to what is submitted and many times this is wrong.

Wincustomize.com attempts to check that a work is not simply stolen from elsewhere....and it happens often...

Give the admins/mods a break, they have a real live too.... (you do right? )
First it was 1 day, but the community is growing, and lots of work is stolen.... (ripped).
if you stick around for a few thousand years, you get the title 'journeyman' and your uploads gets on without approval.

(btw, is there also a 'journeywoman' ? )

WinCustomize does not guarantee that we will approve your submission.  Unlike other sites we do not approve all submissions.  We are selective.  We have the right to refuse or accept a submission for any reason.  Therefore submissions must be approved by the admins.  The admins volunteer their time to moderate the submissions.  They are not paid.  While they do try to get through all the submissions with in 5 days it does not always happen and is not guaranteed.  They are human and lives too.  Sometimes they have questions about a submission and will discuss it privately before its accepted or rejected.  This takes time.  Upon acceptance of your submission an automatic email will be sent to you informating you that your submission has been accepted.  In general we do not send rejectionion emails because of of the abuse that many author's give our admins when receiving a rejection letter. If your submission is rejected it is up to the admin's discression whether or not you will receive an email, most likely you will not.

The approval thing is good, you should considder doing it too with skins. I know this takes more time, but maby you should take more people who can reject them. Some skins are just below level.

The approval thing is good because it is the reason why wincustomize IS the best skinning community, you only see walls witch are high quality.

Styl...it doesn't /wouldn't take any more time...we already vet every skin submitted...since we try to determine whether they are rips or not or have permissions, etc....but again, this is a skinning site so generally every skin will be accepted unless it violates submission 'rules'...
