.wmz files (Windows Media Player skin) won't autoinstall

Yes, I know I can move them into the skins folder and apply them from there.
Yes, I know that I can keep the .wmz files from trying to autoinstall when downloading from here by using the right click-save as...

had to get that out of the way.

WMP is trying to *play* the files instead of installing the skins and, of course, I get an unrecognize format error. I've been to the knowledge base and there is either no answer or I don't know how to phrase the query correctly.

Does anyone know of a way I can fix this instead of just doing an end around?

Thanks.

Also in the 'file types' configuration, .wmz is listed as 'Windows Media Player skin package', but when I click on the 'Change' button I get an error "Windows cannot open this file: .WMZ. To open this file, windows needs to know what program created it...."

When I clear that error box, there is nothing in the 'actions' box and I have no idea what the correct command would be.

thanks again.
