Game hangs on new turn

I run the game through Steam and have all the DLC.  Rarely have any trouble however this game save game that freezes locks up as soon as you press next turn.  I tried several combinations of restarting the game, reloading progressively older saves etc but it always stops after this turn.  Hoping there is a bug to be found and fixed here.  To be clear the game itself doesn't hang, I can go do diplomacy, view the tech tree etc but advancing to the next turn simply stops.

Which version are you playing, 3.0 or 3.01?

I am playing 3.0 (from the title screen) which is the most recent build offered by Steam.  The game executable itself says 3.0.0.10/21.2.6.3

I loaded your savegame and found what is causing the stuck turn. The mercenary ship The Prospector has as its destination a dead planet that is hidden under the fog, change its target and your game should continue. I did do this in 3.01, but it should work in 3.0 as well.
