What am I missing here (Windowblonds not skinning backgrounds fully)?

Compare the XP Corona skin screenshot to mine (sorry, Imagestation shrinks my pictures down)

Screenshot:

Mine:

The run backround is not skinned and neither are the borders on the disply properties window.

Here is the Longhorn skin on my desktop, same thing:

Is like this on every skin.

Yes, I have WB4 and the 'Dialog backgrounds' and 'Skin the display properties window' is checked' in 'basic settings'. I have searched around and found nothing to fix this. Have uninstalled and reinstalled already. Am on XP Professional.

Anybody know?

I *think* that background skinning or dialog skinning, whatever it's called, has been turned off momentarily. It is going to be put back in asap.

Whaaaa?

You mean the same thing happens to you and that feature in Windowblinds 4 has been cut out as of now?

I *think* that is true. I believe I read something about it in the newsgroups.

No, no, no, with some skins, both the entire display properties window and the run window is fully skinned like displayed in the screenshot of the respected skin.

On other skins, it shows it's supposed to be skinned which is displayed in the screenshot, however it does not fully skin it leaving out the borders like shown above.

I believe you are talkin about the Windows Explorer backgrounds?

Anybody know whats goin on?

I've seen this too, but it goes away if I close/reopen the display properties and then change to a different skin, and it's fine when I go back to the problemed one. Looks like you've probably been through that already by the looks of it though, if your uninstalling and all.

Yeah, the display properties window with Transilvania (among other skins) is all messed up too:

The run window is fine though. Nobody else experiences this?

I am the only one with this problem?

I get that too with alot of skins. I've driven myself crazy trying to figure that dialog background setting button, whether it should be checked or unchecked. I actually find it better just to leave it unchecked and evrything usually looks fine.

Have you checked "Apply the skins color scheme" in the Windowblinds settings?

All shit, that would be it jebland.

The reason it was unchecked was because I have my desktop icon text black and when that was checked, every reboot it would turn white. Can't believe I overlooked that...

I use TweakXP for my text now and when I reboot it doesn't change back to white so I'm good. Good lookin, I appreciate it.

The DJ, glad I could help.

White_Moth, if you are blind it won't matter if they are blond.

RIGHT CLICK WINDOWS BLINDS ICON IN TASK MAMAGER (CONFIGURE WINDOWSBLINDS/SETTINGS/SKIN WINDOW BACKGROUND) AND UNCHECK EXPLORER BACKGROUNDS ( Se backgrounds override)
