Issue with "The Captain" theme in Firefox

Hi,

I tried to apply "The Captain" theme this morning. Works fine in Windows but completly messes up Firefox layout and functions (can't minimize, cant close and tabs get scrambled and present display major issues -they kind of 'scramble' and blur-

Do you have any similar feedback on this or help about it?

Thank you

Paul

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Its a known workaround for the close, max/restore, min button on Firefox with Windowblinds. Just click the 3 parallel menu (top right) -> Customize -> Click/select titlebar box (bottom left). That should do it.

Hi Basj,

Tried again just now with your recomandations, but got about the same result: loss/mess with all the upper left buttons in Firefox, tabs diplay randomly jamming...

Do you think the dev. might check on that eventually? I really like the theme... Would be cool. I'll try another one and keep you posted.

Thanks

Best

Well I have no problem on my system with The Captain. BTW, do you have problem with other style that come along with Windowblinds?

I would like to suggest for you to try the purge and reinstall steps on Windowblinds : https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling

Reboot and retest.

Thank you,

Thanks for trying man, and for the help... But I just need something that works without having to dig into my comp like a mechanic all the time. Too bad! I've been a Stardock fan since maybe more than 15 years..

....Not only Firefox issues: many other ones: I give up.

I don't think people understand, it is NOT Stardock causing these type of issues, it is Mozilla. Firefox and Thunderbird both have issues with Windowblinds because Mozilla forces stuff into their UI's that interfere with the functions of Windowblinds. It would be nice if Stardock could fix these issues, but you certainly cannot expect them to jump on it every time Mozilla changes their software. I have been patiently waiting for a fix for Thunderbird from them, and asked about it the other day, but I am not going to stop using Stardock software because of it. I am sure they will get to it someday.
