Start10 Upgrade - no key, no activation, all methods fail

First and foremost: product key retrieval does not work and has been attempted multiple times. The canned response emails from support@ and sales@ have suggested it plenty already, and it doesn't need to be suggested again, kthx.

A few hours ago I looked into purchasing Start10. I already had a license for Start8 and saw a button to check eligibility for the upgrade rate, which came back successful. So I purchased that while signed into my Stardock account, using a PayPal account that had the same email address (receipts from both Stardock and PayPal came to the same address/inbox, so yes, double-checked).

I received a confirmation email with a download link, but no activation key.

I downloaded and installed Start10 to a freshly formatted (as in, totally wiped, then Windows 10 reinstalled clean -- no remnants of anything) laptop, and no other Stardock applications had ever been installed prior to installing Start10.

I followed Start10's activation pop-up and attempted to activate by signing into my Stardock account, which returned an error that no license was associated with it.

As I said at the top, I emailed [email protected] and got a canned response that led me to check my downloads page for a key (it's not there), use product key retrieval with my order/paypal email (no Start10 key in the response), or come to this forum (hi). The product key retrieval page suggested emailing [email protected] as well, which I did, and received the same canned response.

Any helpful help will be greatly appreciated.

Update -- either the wrong reply loaded when I looked at this thread or you updated your response since I read it the first time, but what I typed below was in response to a suggestion to try a purge process.

I've seen this suggestion in other threads and don't understand why it would be relevant on a clean install of Windows with a clean install of Start10, particularly when the problem is that it's saying no license is on my Stardock account.

However, for the sake of saying I did it -- I downloaded the batch file and ran it (as admin) and followed the instructions. It uninstalled Start10. I rebooted. I reinstalled Start10. I attempted to activate with my email and login password again. I received the exact same error:

Anything else to try? Other than product key retrieval, which I've also tried already (as I said before) more than once.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Could you try that again. Since from what I understand there was internet problem over there few hours ago. That might be root cause of the problem. Just in case it still unresolved, I have forwarded your problem again to Stardock Support team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. You will need to wait until they come back on Tuesday. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Still receiving the same error when attempting to activate by logging into my account. "My Downloads" page still doesn't list Start10. My "Order History" page shows the purchase, and has a download link, but no activation information. The "Product Key Retrieval" page still only sends me keys for other products (Start10 is not in the list). Purge batch file process has no effect.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

There was something funky with your order processing to where a key actually was not stamped on it.  I manually added Start10 to your account.

Sorry for the trouble.

I have been having the same issue.

Key retrieval only shows my Windowblinds (versions 7&10)...

Nothing for Start10.

Help please?
