To all those who serve there piticular countries in the Armed Forces or are Police Officers.

Thank you for your service. I learned allot today about what your guys have to do and go through and why most people do not understand your expieriences (and probably why you don't tell anybody what they are).

I am learning to become a security guard and I have to be certified so I am being trained in the law and procedures by people who have been in the thick of it.

I also learned that allot of proceedures about engament are pretty crappy. On top of that they are really written by people who never saw combat or are politically motivated to write them. REALLY Some of those precedures don't make sence when your being shot at in the desert, in the dark, with people dieing all around you. (and other things I won't list here)

So I am just saying thanks.

Please, no 'war is wrong' or 'fight the power' tyraids here.

Save it for another thread.

I agree with you JoeTB...my grandaddy and my uncles were all in the military...one in Nam...he was scarred for life from that experience... It takes a lot of guts to be on the frontlines or to 'protect others' and I respect the police and military very much and they are most certainly worth honoring for the sacrifices they make every day to keep the world safe and sane.
