Start10Ctrlpnl items do not work

Every shortcut item in Start10 which launch some Microsoft settings (like VPN, Add or Remove etc.) just give out an error:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

How to fix this problem?

There is a beta build on everyone's account:

https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

For guest checkout or direct:

https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Start10-Steam-Setup.exe

The reports we have thus far are that it resolves the issue.  If you see different, please let us know here.

I am having the same problem, and installing the Beta (v 1.61) does NOT resolve it. ??

Purging, rebooting, and reinstalling v 1.61 didn't work either. No change.

Out of the many that have installed the beta (like a lot), you would be the first to report that it is not working....

Rename:

C:\Users\YourWinAccountName\Start10Ctrlpnl

to:

C:\Users\YourWinAccountName\Start10Ctrlpnl_OLD

Reinstall 1.61

-Does it recreate the original directory?
-Does it fix the issue?

Also, please do not confuse inconsistent search results with the subject of this thread - that searches present the desired items, they just erred when clicked.  If your issues is the former, please see:

Other than jon2u (which may not be the same issue), can the rest of you confirm this has solved your issue?

Thanks.

After I purged and reinstalled v 1.61, everything worked except a pinned shortcut for the "change sign-in requirements" setting. I've fixed that by deleting the shortcut and re-creating it, so everything now works. Thanks for the good customer support!
