Whenever I run WindowFX, regardless of the version it causes WinXP to hang upon reboot or shutdown. I always get an end task window for EXPLORER.EXE and it will not shutdown or reboot until I press end task. It always pops up twice. This has always happened to me any time that I have ever run WindowFX. Does anyone know a fix for this?

According to the lead developer (Neil Banfield) this issue has been fixed in WindowFX 2.09 which you can download using SDC or CM.

I will try the latest BETA of 2.09, but the original did not fix the problem for me.

That did not fix the problem.

I would really love to be able to use this app, I think it is way cool, but not if it will always cause the pain of having to click ok twice for an end program - EXPLORER.EXE window everytime I log off, reboot, or shutdown.

OK. Can you give me as much information as you can about your system: What XP Service pack, graphics card, graphics drivers, what programs are running in the system tray, time/date of wfxload.exe, ect. and mail them to [email protected] and CC it to [email protected] ? Also add a short description of the problem.
