Blueprint Suggestions

Now with Retribution out and a tech tree change up, I highly recommend the blueprints for AI be updated. Specifically:

1) Medium hulled carriers. Carriers are available quite early, and while it is tempting to use Cargo hulls, it can be quite advantageous to use Medium hulls to ensure their survival in tight battles.

2) Medium hulled transports. Similar to above. Now that Transports need to survive multiple invasions and potentially multiple battles when paired with a fleet, I think it is a good idea to put them into a harder hull.

3) More sensors on Transports.

4) Generally less support modules and more engines.

Just a thought.

1. I don't have much experience with carriers. With the techs earlier now, I suppose I should give them a chance.

2. I'm still happy with troop modules on my cargo hulls. I make a point to clear a place out before sending my troop ships in.

3. I use sensor modules on my troop designs. I think this is a good idea. That said, I also use sensor ships to expand my sensor coverage.

4. I don't know. I've played on maps where life support range was a big deal.

Something I would like is the ability to make drop down menus for my ships, much like how the game does it with default designs. It would greatly reduce the clutter in my blueprint list.

Carriers are basically a replacement for all other ship design in this game. Theyre very very good, and GCs design does not encourage balanced ship or fleet design.

But that's not the point really... Carriers are now early game tech... But the AI can't use it because they have no designs until they get large hulls.
