Desktop Architect is free and does a good job of changing all of Windows sounds.

Yup, DA is what I use too. Says it doesn't like XP but it's always worked fine on my PC.

Why bother with DA? Why not just download individual WAV files and unzip them into your Media file (where all the sound effects for windows are kept) and then go into Control Panel - then sounds speech and audio devices - then change sound scheme and then just play around adding and trying out different sound for different events - then just name your scheme and save it..........it really is that easy

Here are two sites that i would thoroughly recommend as the sound quality of their WAVs are excellent whereas some other sites are quite poor
