Transparency - help

I think this warrants a new thread (rather than piggy back on the bmp thread)

I'm starting to play with my own skinning - Beatnik to make the learning curve easier with Fireworks. I have the canvas as small as possible and using magic pink (FF00FF) on the exposed curves with hard edge, no anti-aliasing. Dang thing still shows pink.

Outside of this I'm reasonably happy. DWM advised me last night (thanks mate) but I seem to have missed something. (pouty face emoticon won't load)

If I recall correctly, beatnik needs to use transparent gif's. but it's been a while so I might be thinking of something else.

So I'm doing the magic pink correctly, it just doesn't work with Beatnik? No wonder I'm confused. lol

I figure I'll start easy (although no one actually uses it) then tackle skin studio. Small steps.

You need to specify what color is transparent in a gif file. It can any color you choose. I'm not sure how that's done in Fireworks.
