You do not know me, so please don't judge going off this thread alone, I have contributed to this fine place for a while now and all work is my own, this one chance I was unaware of the copyright until it was brought forward and as you may have noticed I myself admitted my mistake and removed the work in question.

So before you go shouting your mouth off take the time to read and study the facts before making remarks that will not go down well.

I choose to look on the lighter side of the comment as being cynical joshing, otherwise I am left with only one conclusion for it's meaning and I do not think anyone is stuck with such an odium because it contains reflections of their true self...

paxx; it depends on the graphics Cd's contract and then each persons choice on qualifies as a right to use in your purchasing the CD ( or set ) *PhotoDic* is a name brand and true enough it is not royalty free for the most part, but many are. I've been a member on a couple of graphics sites in the past which would produce Cd's of Photograph's and Clip Art which was specifically sold in the set for your use as you see fit and in some cases as long as it was used in a non-profit manner of distribution.

You couldn't make use of the art in a Logo or such, but you could in fact use it in digital art which was distributed free, such as most of the Skin's, theme's.

Brain Box has something like 26 Cd's which have many graphics and photo's on them which you can freely make use of. It all depends on the EULA as described by the producers of the CD(s) and the artists. Personally I would not distribute anything until I had read all text and the fine print. I would also seek permission or understanding of what permission was given when the work was distributed to myself.

Sorry to have to tell you this...blah blah blah...Yeah, right...I bet you're sorry. Instead of being an attention *****, take it up with the admins if you feel you need to be Mr. Skin Policeman.

the "blah blah blah" you so conveniently removed, was the fact that I respect his work. and I was sorry to have to bring to thier attention the apparent rip by this obviously well know and respect artist.

I would have gone to an Admin or to Dark Mist himself, had I know that that was the proper procedure. In my defense, there are no 'rules' for indicating a suspected rip. I looked, I didnt find any. Maybe it's something for the admins to add, a small link at the bottom of every page, linking to someones e-mail addy, that way it can be anonymous and not as detrimental to the artist in question. All I saw were other posts about rips, I admit I didnt read them, I didn't feel I needed to, I was never under the impression that this was going to start a witch hunt. I was just merely pointing out that the image on the screen was not an original. If Dark Mist had said in his comments that it was not an original, that it was merely an edited version of an image he gathered from somewhere else, I never would have started this whole thing, I would have accepted it and moved on. I do appologize to Dark Mist for starting this 'witch hunt' and appreciate him not holding any grudges towards me. Next time I notice a rip I will certainly be more descrete about it. But the admins should put a notice somewhere on the site, letting the users know the proper way to handle these situations so people like me, who do not paruse the boards that often (or at all), will know how to react to this kind of situation.

Well if one really doesn't want to make an issue public or embarass anyone in a public venue, just think about what action you want taken, who would be the people to take it and then how would you go about contacting them in a nonpublic manner?

So, even without written instructions highlighted on each page, one could still devise all on one's own to email a WC admin (email addy's available on the "about" page accessible on every WC page) and the skin's author. Just a thought for those times when written instructions are not available for everything.

As much as I do not like these public witch hunts when matters like these should be handled privately, I do like being informed if a wall I got from this site is a rip so I can remove it from my hard drive. It turns out this was one of the walls that I downloaded and now has been removed from my hard drive.
