Troubles with MSRA after Win10 1903 Update

"Bad Image" error

Start10's DLL libraries seem to being corrupted after 1903 Update.

Attempts to execute "msra" (a built-in windows utility for remote assitance) fail with an "Bad image" error.

The full message text is "...\start10_64.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error..."

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the re-installation and retest. Report back here.

Thanks

Hello again,

Thanks for your reply! I've tried everything that you've mentioned but nothing has changed. The error still remains the same.

I've also tried to install a trial version on another PC with clean Win 10 1903 and....  finally got the same error.

Obviously, some of these DLLs need to be fixed.

The devs are aware but insist this is something that Microsoft themselves need to address.

My problem is that 1903 removes start10  and has to be re-installed after the 1903 upgrade - I'm sure that Stardock should be working with Microsoft to address.  There are lots of issues with 1903, removing programs, changing sharing settings etc.

My specific issue is that I have probably 20-30 start10 licenses and have no idea which goes with which PC. so far I have had 5 of these issues, and my only way to resolve is guess which does with which PC!

Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem. msra /email command does not work after this so called may upgrade. Can please any Microsoft eng. have a look at the problem I am reporting? For me it is a serious issue and should be fixed in the fastest possible time.
