Taskbar black

Hello,

I am installing a new system and something is driving me nuts. I can't remember what I made before a sudden change has appeared in the windowblinds behaviour, but, for sure, it has nothing to do with this app (I think I had just updated the bios of the mainboard right before this happens).

My taskbar is in black. Not entirely. On the main screen the "return to desktop" button is skinned, the tasks buttons also and the clock on the secondary screen is also skinned (and not on primary). Everything else is black.

What I tried:

- I tried the basic uninstall and reinstall...

- I tried to use one different skin.... and lot of different skins... no result

- I tried to search in skinstudio... no luck

- I tried to enter in windows settings and changing several parameters. If I choose to let windows colors the taskbar the accent color is showed but darker than normally.

- I tried to see in windowblinds choosing manually an other taskbar from a different theme if it will repair my problem. Again, no luck

- I tried to play with start 10 settings... Do I have to say it did not work ?

At this point, I see only one thing I have not made... installing a new windows... but really, if I can avoid that...

Someone sees something I have forgotten ? or have an idea ?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

1) Windows 10 version please use Winver.exe

2) Windowblinds version.

3) Theme used. Any WB theme or only certain theme. If only certain theme could you list down some that we can check on. Specially default theme that come with Windowblinds.

4) added note : Screenshot of the problem.

Thanks

Please try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge and reinstall. Reboot again after the install and retest. Report back here.

Hello,

I tried the purge, but no luck.

So, I jumped to the full reinstall. And I have, now, saved the system with Paragon after everything was installed. So, I am good for several years...

When I reinstalled, I have not encountered any problem. Bad thing is that it takes time to fully reinstall windows. But that's my fault, I should have saved from time to time the system.

Bug has reappeared...

I think when I reactivated in windows apply accent color to start menu, task bar and notification center.

I will use paragon to correct that with my saved system, but not all of us use such programs...

Hello,

I updated windows 10. It has permitted me to see that the problem was directly linked to classic shell that I was using to remove the breadscrumb in explorer.

Finally everything is back to the normal.

Thanks for the suggestion that permitted me to discover the program that was causing the problem.
