Groupy update is causing Fences activation problem

I didn't ask for Fences 3

A couple days ago I allowed the install of the latest Groupy update. I specifically unchecked the box that asked if I wanted Fences 3.

I had to reboot the computer recently because of the Windows 10 network connectivity bug. Now, Fences is running properly, but I keep getting a dialog box that asks for Fences 3 activation key, or asks me to purchase Fences 3, or start a 30 day trial. I just want to run my current version of Fences. This hasn't stopped my current version from deploying (yet?),but the dialog box is annoying. I will look at Fences 3 later.

I usually save product activation keys in the same folder as the installation .exe. Naturally, this time I didn't, so I don't even have an old activation key to try. I cannot get it from the current version because every time I try to run Fences from Start, it triggers the above mentioned dialog box about Fences 3.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Would like to know.

1) Windows 10 version. Please use Winver.exe for full version numbers.

2) Fences version that are currently running.

3) You should be able to get your product and its key using this guide : https://forums.stardock.com/484254/getting-your-products-and-keys

Windows: 1909 OS Build 18363.720

Fences: According to File Properties>Details of Fences.exe,  3.0.9.11

I used the link in 3) and it seems to have worked.

I will file that away for future use, thanks Basj.

FYI - For anyone else reading this, retrieving product keys with the link in the previous response requires the email you used when you registered. It is apparently Case Sensitive, e.g., Gmail not gmail.
