Fence Portal Left-Click Open in Explorer

Hey everyone!

I've recently purchased Fences on Steam, and I'm loving the idea of the Fence Portal, in particular to view folders I frequent, but are "hard",  or at least "annoying" to navigate to (i.e. appdata, a few folders deep on a external hdd, etc.)

My only question/complaint thus far is that I can't seem to get the functionality out of if that I'd like. Currently, if I left click a folder within the fence portal, it opens that folder within the fence portal, allowing me to navigate in there. That's okay for some applications, but I'd much prefer being able to left click a folder within the fence portal, causing the folder to then be opened in Windows Explorer. Currently I am not aware of a means of doing this - I know I can disable the "Allow Navigation" tickbox, which prevents the in-fence portal navigation, but after doing so, my left clicks on the folders does nothing. I'd much prefer it to launch in Explorer.

Bar this, I'm a big fan of many of your products and use several of them daily!

Thanks in advance for your replies!,

Nus

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe, double click on that Portal Fence's Folder while pressing the  "ctrl" key, that will open that folder in Explorer.

Hi Basj, thanks for the reply!

Just so we're on the same page, I'll reiterate that my "ideal" functionality is that if I double click on one of the folders contained within the Portal Fence'd Folder, that folder would then open in Explorer, as pictured below:

I am aware of the functionality of double clicking on the Portal Fence itself in order to open the root folder (in the above example, my E: drive), but this functionality could also be achieved by simply creating a shortcut icon and using the Fences "double click desktop to hide icons" feature - thus making the Portal Fence somewhat useless, or overkill, for this application.

I've tried your proposed CTRL+Double click on the folders within a Portal Fence (i.e. the Battle.NET folder, among others), and it doesn't seem to do anything for me. I've currently got navigation disabled, and I attempted CTRL+Double click with navigation turned on, and nothing happened (in either case).

I also tried SHIFT+Double click, which did nothing, and ALT+Double click, which opened the properties window for that folder (Battle.NET). I also tried single click variations of all of these, and none (besides ALT) did anything.

Thanks again for your time!

Hello again,

Not sure what you are seeing, but on my system this is what I see. Maybe reboot and try again.

Thank you,

This is a late response but... I was looking for the same functionality and found that it currently exists. Click on the menu in the corner and uncheck "Allow navigation"
