Start10 shows always Windows 10 - Control settings problem

Hello!

I installed new clean Windows 10.1909 x64 in January and now installed Start10.

I configured it and customized.

My purpose is to have two different and separate Start menus, so I set this Control behavior:

1. Start button shows Windows 10 menu
2. Windows key shows Start10 menu with selected Right Windows key shows Windows 10 menu
3. Modern UI apps Windows key shows Start10 unless tablet mode (this is for me not important, but maybe this can cause problem)

Advanced settings:
1. Start button right click shows Win+X menu
2. Search includes files outside libraries

Problem: Start button shows always Windows 10 menu and also both Windows keys shows Windows 10 menu.

What is problem? I had this problem never before? Or Win+X menu can cause it?
I tried to disable it (but this feature I want to use - if is possible also other method, I'll be happy 'cause Start10 configure is accessible only from shortcut)

Thank you for your help and support.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can't recreate your issue. I have setup my Windows 10 as what you mentioned above. Except

3. Modern UI apps Windows key shows Start10 unless tablet mode (this is for me not important, but maybe this can cause problem)
End of quote

Not sure where is that option, I don't have that option on my system, or is that somewhere else?

And this is what I get.

1) Startbutton left click : Windows 10 menu

2) Left Windows keys show Start10 menu, I don't have right Windows key to test what that will do.

3) Right click on StartButton : Win+X menu.

Need to know more.

1) Windows 10 full version numbers. Please use Winver.exe for full Windows 10 version numbers.

2) Start10 version.

Thanks

Hi!

I'm sorry for late reply, I was not notified about new post.

I set it even like you wrote - nothing helps, but one change - Windows key now works not - even no Start10, not Windows 10 menu...

Start10 version is 1.91 and Windows version 10.1909.18363.778 Pro x64

Hello,

Please try the following:

-For Win8/10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Some help on how this looks should you need it:

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

Ok, understand these steps, but I do it not - I'm waiting for Windows 10.2004 release and filesystem is maybe corrupted by this installation tests. After install I do these steps and will report if it will not work.

Filesystem integrity repair can also cause corruption of important files and it is not easy to get them back.

I meant that it is about keyboard problem only.

Thank you for your support.
