Need a paid subscription to download blinds, etc. ?

Hello,

Hopefully this is the correct forum.

For the past couple of weeks whenever I login and try and download a blind, cursor set, etc. the download is refused and I am directed to a page that says I'm at my download limit (48/5) and that I need to pay for a subscription.

Did I miss some kind of announcement somewhere that the site was moving to only allowing paid subscribers to download now?

Thanks.

It is my understanding that in order to get unlimited downloads, you either have to have a subscription to WinCustomize, OR, you need to be a current Stardock customer.

I may or may not have this correct.  but I think I'm right.

Thanks for the reply.

Am now and have been an Object Desktop subscriber for longer than I can remember and have a longtime wincustomize membership login (but no paid sub) and have never had a problem downloading blinds, cursors, etc. before this. That's why I was wondering if there had been a change that somehow I missed notification of.

Edit:  Sean's statement makes me think I was correct after all?

Tried with multiple browsers, logged out and back in, cookies cleaned and re cleaned, local storage cleaned and all with the same result.

Are you signing in with the same credentials with which you bought Stardock apps?

I have a Wincustomize login that I've been using for years. It is slightly different from my Stardock account login.

EDIT: Bingo! Just tried logging in with my Stardock login and downloads came up just fine. For some unknown reason my Wincustomize login was logging me into the site but not giving my the ability to download anything while my Stardock login both logs me in to Wincustomize but also lets me download as normal.

Don't know what changed re my old login and site privileges but I'll change the login in my password manager and, hopefully, all will go back to normal.

Give the man a chocolate cigar! Thanks for bringing up the idea that it might be the login.
