How to make video loops transition smoothly/gradually without an obvious flicker

Hi, using the trial version, interested to buy DeskScapes.  I have a 1min 1080p scenic video (both in avi and mpg), tried playing it, plays well and smoothly, but at the end of 1min, whenever it loops back, there's an abrupt and obvious flicker in the screen as the video loops.  I have seen other scenic dreams loop smoothly (the video blends the end and start points smoothly).  How can I do that for my own videos?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

To loop a video .. put the video in your video editor then split the video at about the 1/3 spot

then move that 1st part down to the end and blend it back into the second part for about

2 seconds then save the video . Now you need to convert the video to AVI format to run as a dream.

A good converter program will help smooth out the loop .

I use this one ... https://www.winxdvd.com/help/how-to-use-videoproc.htm

If submitting a dream to the site follow these guidelines https://forums.wincustomize.com/451844/page/1/#3440137

For more about Dream Making ( check out this older post programs mentioned  will have been updated

by now to newer versions . ) https://forums.wincustomize.com/461882/page/1/#3556543

Hi AzDude, thanks for the reply.

"...then move that 1st part down to the end and blend it back into the second part for about 2 seconds..."

From what I understand, I am to cut out the first 1/3rd (20s) of my one minute video, bring it to the end of the other 2/3rds (40s), then create a transition point between those two spliced clips that lasts 2 seconds, is it?  But this will only create an unnecessary blend transition in the middle of the new video; there will still be an abrupt flicker whenever the video loops in Deskscapes.  My issue is that all my video clips used in Deskscape always loop with an abrupt and ugly-looking flicker, doesn't look natural ie. there's an obvious start and end to the video clip when it's playing on my desktop background via Deskscapes.

Or did I understand your instructions wrongly?

I think I see your point, let me play around with the clip in Premiere, then I'll get back to u again, thanks AzDude

You use a " Crossfade " transition ..

the 2 seconds is a starter point practice other times some dreams depending

on the animation might require you to make adjustments ..

Once you play around with a few videos both with the looping and converting

you will learn some tricks .. a little practice and read the link " Easy Way to Create Dreams "
