Fences freeze / crash on Windows 10

Fences freeze / crash on Windows 10

I was running Fences / Start 10 on my Windows 10.

The Fences seem to cause explorer freeze for long time, or crash out-right.

This happens most often when the screen resolution changes, I.e. when you tab out of full-screen application that is running on different resolutions.

During the freeze, the task bar becomes unresponsive, no system icon shows up, and even the Start 10 does not work.

I’ve disabled the Fences and everything seems to be back to normal.

If you find a decent alternative, please post here.

I just tried the new version and it didn’t even last one day before I got tired of crashing.

But if its 'crashing', enabling what is noted there will be helpful - it will allow us to capture the relevant data to see if Fences is even the cause.

I came here via google search, I have two issues on two PCs, which started to happen some days ago, both Windows 11 and having Fences installed. Opening Explorer and browse through files, randomly let the Explorer freezes fro 5-7 seconds. On the other PC saving files for example files in Chrome or any other app save to then click ok, freezes the APP for 5 seconds. I have a suspicion this has to do with Fences.
