Activation key issue

I bought it on Steam and used it well before. After reinstalling the system, let me enter the activation key. I did not register a stardock account after the purchase, because I do not know that this kind of thing needs an activation key. I reactivated. After I registered my account, I logged in and told me that the account was disabled. I really had nothing to say. The issue of activating the activation key only took several days. I was very angry. May I ask if you sell it on the steam platform, why not coordinate with the steam platform. It's really annoying users. I have tried various methods, but I have already purchased it. Why should I spend money on the activation key? The experience is extremely poor.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Sound like you have an old installation of Fences, maybe a trial version which will ask for activation key. What you need to do is purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to follow the Steam version of the guide. Try it and let us know if you still need our assistance.

Thanks

I have already purchased it on steam, but after reinstalling the system on my computer, I was asked to re-enter the activation key. I did n’t register a stardock account at that time, so where did I get the activation key to buy again? What did I buy on steam? trial version?

Many users have this problem, and they are all purchased on steam, and then activation fails on steam. Should not you coordinate with the steam platform?

No you don't need a key for Steam version, you just need steam running while activating steam version, and its a full version. Please use the purge steps I mentioned above to resolved your issue and remember to follow the steam version of that guide.

Thank you,

I think, some steam user are failing because they download an update version from Stardock direct and install that version. That won't work. I believe users need to wait until Steam's version get their update and update user from there.

The problem has been solved, and I am sorry for my impatience and unfriendliness. The software is good, but I think the activation key can still be more perfect. thank you
