What genre of music do you like?

Am I the only one who likes Blue Grass???

I love it!! (Even though I don't know any individual musicians)

What I really like is this MusicMatch features that allow me to find new types of music. Never thought I would be listening to classical more than a few times a month. Now I listen to it.. a few times a week

I like country music too, but I think Blue Grass is more garage band like with more heart and soul. Country is more getty up and heart. Grass is more I am at home and heart.

pretty much everything everyone around me hates, like rap, hip hop or whatever everyone else calls it, me likes hard bass unfortunetly the type of music I like to listen to "sound wise" has rather nasty lyrics...

on the other hand I like Hilary Stagg, and Christian music (but me is picky on the Christian music, only certain ones) hehe

yes me is crazy (stick me in the crazy catagory)

Mmmm, the closest I get to Blue Grass is Alison Krauss, I'm a big fan. But trying to define my musical taste is impossible. Anything from Metallica to Mozart. I listen to what I like the sound of. I appreciate good musicianship regardless of genre.

Where music is concerned there's no such things as good or bad - just what you enjoy.

All really, well mostly.
Rock, hard rock, alternative, pop, 50's, 60's 70's 80's

I don't like Country much avoid most. I do not care for Jazz at all.

Oh my.. by reading your answers, i'm totally by myself here. I only listen to Tecno (ya know, the garbage you listen to in raves)

To make matters worse, i'm 33. I guess I'll never grow up which aint a bad thing in my book!

Edit: And for the record, I absolutely and thoroughly HATE rap and hip hop.

I like all music (including blue grass), except *some* Wagner operas.

ummm, after further review, I don't much care for some of the new 'rap' type music. Nothing wrong with it, just not my kind of thing.

I listen to mostly hip-hop/rap. I don't like R&B though. For those that live in the NY-area...my radio station never leaves 97.1. I do like other types of music though. I really like the White Stripes, they have that 'uniqueness' you don't find in many bands. I love classic Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd is cool. I listen to some Zepplin every now and then. My sister is a HUGE Dave Mathews fan, which forces me to be one also. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to music, if it sounds good, I'll listen to it...I just have my preference as to what I listen to most.

Techno? I only like so much techo after a while. It gets to loud after a while. and the stuff I like in the techo catagory is always last years songs

Ever heard of "Good Charlette"? I like them... but they don't fit into a genre as far as I am conserned.

How can you hate rap and liove techno? isn't techno like rap without the bass? Just kidding... I think...

#7 Jafo 'Country' isn't music...It's a place.

Tell that to Keith Urban! (An Aussie that came to the U.S. to sing 'Country' and has done pretty well, too.)

Sorry, Jafo. Lousy grammar.

As far as what I like: Heavy Metal. Staind, Disturbed, Newer Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Godsmack, rage against the machine, Train, Trapt, System of a Down, ect.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE rap. Can not stand any of it with the exception of Tupac. Anybody can take a nusrey ryhme, through a couple slang words and some cuss words in the mix and rap it out to a keyboard made beat.

IT TAKSE TALENT TO PLAY INSTRUMENTS AND SING!

I also have a very healthy dislike for R&B, Hip Hop, and COUNTRY. CAN NOT STAND COUNTRY! Country is not allowed in any of my cd players. Friends used to bring over stuff like garth brooks until I destoyed a couple of those cds becase I do not allow country on my home or car stereos.

And I absolutly hate boy and girl bands like backstreet and such....
