Is this a good idea for Win98SE? Also, is it any easier than it used to be or do you have to do a lot of configuring after downloading themes? Thanks.

Yes...it's ideal for 98SE.....simple to shell-swap by editing the System.ini....and the OTS themeing standard makes it a doddle to change themes and/or set them up for your own use...

It should run fine on Win98. I used to run it on that versino all the time.

Installing themes is quite a bit easier now. The "OTS" theme standard has helped considerably with consistant theme structure, etc. There still can be minor tweaking depending on how well made the theme is, but way easier than before.

Thanks. Are there any "step-by-step" instructions for getting started? I remember when I did this before I crashed right away and couldn't get back in to Explorer. How do I avoid that problem this time? (Editing the System.ini scares me too!)

Download the OTS installer one.
It installs everything for you, and comes with a shell swapper prog, that switches shells and reboots for you in one click.
You can't go wrong with it.

Thanks, Hippy. That's just what I wanted to know! I will be trying it out this weekend.
