I've never seen one so I guess the mighty PROXOMITRON can handle them.Unless I'vve never went to a site that had that popup.

Alexa's toolbar with pop-blocker seems to block them.  I really don't like pop-ups......

I just set my firewall up so it stops them. I dont even have a popup blocker. I have my computer set so far into stealth that the popups dont even know I have the net.

I've never seen one, using MyIE2.   
You say it leaves a blank spot on your screen......... that's odd for a blocked popup.

I use Netscape

An I ike those Orbiz ads! There is one where you fly a blimp and try to avoid going to high or to low and crashing into buildings.

Neat game. Scores points too.

Other then that I just have a really fast mouse and click on the exit button.


Anyway, Netscape works pretty well and so far Google blocks have worked fine as well.(never heard of using a firewall to stop pop ups.)

WebBlinds blocks popups but I use the new Google tool bar for that now

I always use Pop-Up Stopper. Works as well as I need.

I've used Pop-Up Stopper so long that when I'm on a computer without it, I still hold down the Ctrl key to open a link in a new window by habit!

Now if someone could get rid of those ads that are in the page blocking all the print, I'd be happy. You know the one's that sort of zoom out at you and you have to click the small 'close' or the 'X' to get rid of them so you can read the rest of the article?

I used to use something called Webwasher for that. I've never got round to putting it back on my current pc. Gets rid of all sorts of nast ads though.

The new Google toolbar has a pop up killer built in.....try it....I did and it works well

BTW........download Ad Aware 6 from Lavasoft and that will clean out any spyware on your hard drive as well. There is a free version available and i used it recently and it found quite a few nasties hiding on my drive.......good luck
