freezes when click on any settting for a new game.

I am trying to get it to work on my Linux machine and have gotten to the main menu.

When I pick New Game, Campaign or Quick Start it starts to make the new galaxy but after a while it slows and then freezes.

The err is useless on why so any ideas why. ATM I am going with Direct Draw.

I never have a problem on the loading screen when it stops. My problem is when it doesn’t stop. What are your resources.

3rd gen i7, 16 ram on an alienware laptop.

Saying that it could also be their custom motherboard.

Popos (it is the only one to recoginze a RAID boot and install) and kde desktop
