Consider this, when you are on the north pole and you walk around the pole against the rotation of the earth, you will repeatedly cross the date line. Are you travelling back in time or what?

That happened to me once, I was making instant coffee in a microwave. (Apologies to Tom Wright)

, wonder if anyone has wrote their name in the snow across all the date/time lines

Well actually since it was exactly 12:00 A.M here in the central time zone when you wrote this it was actually August 21st in most of the U.S at the time. Just not on the East Coast.

If you are in a spaceship traveling at just under the speed of light what happens when you turn on the headlights?

If you are traveling in a plane and jump up in the air do you come down in exactly the same spot?

If you flush a toilet at the equator which way does the water spin?
Whichever way the toilet is set up to flush. The Coriolis effect doesn't even make a difference when you're *not* on the equator.
