I'd really like to try before I buy

It's probably no fault of wincustomize but I keep getting a message to purchase if I want to download more from the site. My problem is that I was only able to download one set of icons and then repeatedly kept getting cut off with a message (server has been reset)and some times I would get to as much as 75% done. I'm really disappointed and I'd like to purchase but don't feel like doing so unless I know I'm going to be able to download more.

If all you've downloaded from this site is one icon set there's a problem somewhere. I think WC has a 50 meg free download limit unless you subscribe to the site or purchase a software product from WC/Stardock and then you should have unlimited downloads. So unless you've over that 50 meg cap you should be able to download from WC. Perhaps a mod/Admin here can assist.

Yes ,you should still be able to dl quite a bit more before the cutoff.Even then ,buying even 1 stardock product is enough to lift the restriction.Purchasing the whole OD subscription will get you everythinging in one shot.Or say just cursor XP for about 10 bucks will do it too I think.

Correct, there is a 50MB cap, and you shouldn't come close to that with a single icon set. The "server has been reset" error is not what you get when you've reached your limit. It's what you get when you have a bad connection to a web site. Perhaps you hit it at a time when there were too many other users downloading as well. I'd suggest trying again later.

Just for the record, subscribers to the site have more bandwidth available to them.

Any Stardock purchase, or a WC subscription, will remove the download cap. I'm sorry you've had trouble completing downloads........ may I suggest a download manager, such as FlashGet, GetRight, or DAP, so you can resume unfinished downloads.
