How to add/delete applications to/from automatic grouping list manually?

Hello,

I know I can manage application grouping using the three dots menu on Groupy tabs and remove applications from grouping or non-grouping using the "Application Grouping" settings.  However, how can I add/remove applications manually, that is, by modifying a configuration file somewhere or modifying the registry?  I am using Groupy v 1.44 with six monitors driven by three 2-head video cards and am getting some strange behavior from Adobe Acrobat DC when Groupy is active.  As you may know, Acrobat automatically uses its own multiple tabs if multiple PDFs are opened, so Groupy isn't needed for it.  However, if Groupy is running and I try to drag one of the Acrobat tabs to a different monitor, the resulting window opens on the same window instead.  With Groupy not running the resulting window opens on the intended monitor like it should.  I need to exclude Acrobat from Groupy's combine but there are no vertical dots on Acrobat's tabs because Acrobat produces them, not Groupy.

Thanks!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can un-select "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" in acrobat preference or simply drag the acrobat tabs away from the main acrobat windows to create a new acrobat windows and drag it on top on of each other by dragging on the titlebar, not the acrobat tab, and once its grouped do the groupy 3 dot menu.

Hi Basj,

Thanks for your quick reply.  I tried just pulling one of the two Acrobat tabs away to create a new Acrobat window as well as changing the Acrobat setting you described, and both resulted in creating separate Acrobat windows.  However, when I pull one of them over the other by its title bar, nothing happens and I still have the two separate Acrobat windows.  I moved the window all over the other window thinking there might be a sweet spot or some kind of indication where I should drop it, but there wasn't.  It's obvious from your screen shot that it works for you so I must be missing something.  I notice that you are using Acrobat Reader DC whereas I am using the full 2017 version of Acrobat with the latest updates, but I wouldn't think that should matter to Groupy.

Thanks,
Ray

Hello,

Please check your grouping setting. My setting is as below. Only group when Ctrl is held down.

Thank you,

Basj,

I tried your setting and at first it didn't work any better than before.  However, after wiggling the one Acrobat window over the other for a while it eventually grouped them.  I was then able to disable grouping for Acrobat and it now works correctly even if Groupy is running :-)  Thanks for your help,

Ray
