Move Window Control Buttons (Minimize, Restore/Maximize and Close) BACK to absolute top-right

I'm having a hell of a time getting Windows 10 to not blind me; I have to work on my computer 12+ hours every day for my business.

I've been using Dark Mode by Vad_M however the latter now has missing text color in many places. I've started using Fl8t by nickyount which fixes most issues.

However the thing that drives me absolutely insane is the "need" to move the window control buttons away from the top-right. I also hate that "collapse window" button that Vad's theme added though thankfully Fl8t doesn't impose.

I want the close button to be at the 0x0 coordinates from the absolute top-right of maximized windows. How do I do this? Is it a registry hack?

I've hunted down a copy of SkinStudio which is ancient and all it did was fight me with invalid issues and the copy of the WBA file didn't do anything, just an exact clone of what I started with. Is there a more modern / stable editor?

AWESOME! I was stuck on Version 5 because I simply couldn't find the SkinStudio any where! Why is it so difficult to find?

Now I can actually edit existing skins with relative ease. I'll post my progress a little later on. Thank you for making my day!

To fix the button position and get rid of the collapse button I had to:

  1. Click on "Edit Titlebars and WindowFrames".
  2. Click on "Edit toolwindows" which opens the window in the image below.
  3. For some reason the navigation at the bottom (Red #1) is required; there is some other button editing that does absolutely nothing. >_>
  4. Click the item you want to edit (Purple #2), e.g. the close button that was not at the 0x0 absolute top/right position.
  5. Click on the bottom navigation (Blue #3).
  6. Adjust the button position keeping in mind that each theme is different and 0x0 is not going to be what you think it is (Green #4).
  7. Additionally to remove the "Additional button 1" simply go to the "Code editor" (just right of Blue #3) and delete all of the code there.

So this wasn't the most intuitive way to edit the theme though it worked!

I'm not interested in themes that look cool or have robot lasers. I care about productivity and not being blinded as I work 12+ hours every day at my computer for the past 12+ years straight without a day off. The less I have to stop and think about moving the mouse down and left by five pixels every time makes it a lot easier when I'm working on projects with hundreds of lines of code that are extremely nit-picky. Hopefully this will help someone else too.

I'd still really like to know why I couldn't find SkinStudio? I own a copy of Object Desktop and the program has been listed as free so what is the disconnect? I can't be the only one lost on that point.

Not really sure what is on your account, but I can download SkinStudio directly from my account page.

So when I expand "View Individual Downloads" I see it listed there however the navigation is confusing and ended up finding myself on forums.stardock.com, not store.stardock.com. So thank you for the link.

So I went looking in Object Desktop and SkinStudio still isn't listed here:

Additionally there is a subscription? I'm a bit confused...if I don't have something installed will I lose access to it unless I renew or is that for patches? I'm a software developer myself though I'm a bit confused over the details. Your posts have however been very helpful thus far, thank you. :)
