Sysmetrix help please...........

I love this programme and some of the skins have an audio player on.
Questions - Can you use this audio player to play CD's? Can it be linked into your default media player to play CD's (mine is Creative Play Center). Is it only linkable to Winamp?

1. It is not an Audio Player.
2. And yes Winamp is the desired player it is linked to.
You knew the answers already Leo. I know you're a Lion but, come on, stop pulling my leg. lol.

If i knew the answers i would not have posted this thread. I have only used sysmetrix for a short time and a trawl around did not come up with any answers i was looking for. Anyway thank you for your help.

Now sorry to nag on about this one but i have now downloaded Winamp 3 but how do you link it to Sysmetrix. I must be really thick but i have searched all over but it must be staring me in the face. I have got the Abracadbra suite from Pixtudio and the Sysmetrix skin has a media player and i want to play audio CD's using this skin but at the moment Sysmetrix and Winamp do not seem to be talking to each other. Anyone please
On the Abracadabra Sysmetrix skin i can get the volume slider to work and the X to minimize/maximize up from the taskbar but all the other player controls on the skin do not work(

Sheesh Leo,
Why didn't you just say you were having trouble linking sysmetrix to the audio player, or how to get the audio buttons to work? I would have told you that you needed Winamp 2 to make it work properly. Anyway, yeah that Abracadabra suite is a nice one. It's on the top of my wish list. But, I'll just stay happy with PixOS and ToonXP for awhile I guess. Sorry, I couldn't have been more help.

No probs Chas.........I have heard people talk a lot about Winamp and i have been meaning to give it a try and i must say it is absolutely fantastic. Having it linked into Sysmetrix makes it even better. I loved my Creative Play Centre but there are no skins about but now i am a happy boy with Winamp. If there are others like me who had other media players i would thouroughly recommend the mix of Winamp and Sysmetrix not only because of the quality of both pieces of software but because of their skinabilty (Jafo i hope thats in your dictionary). But as i learnt watch the version of Winamp that you download for compatibilty and skin issues.

Leo,

Be careful what you say about Jafo please. He's an admin and I'd hate to see a member get into trouble. He may rub you the wrong way sometimes, but I've come to realize that he means well. About Creative Play Center - Nah. It's a bogger. Meaning it always bogs down or slows down my system. Musicmatch is the real deal. lol. You can burn anything with it and it creates an autoload and playlist for your CD's too without you even asking. It Music Library is auto sorted according to your preferences and you can find any of your songs in a snap and the skins are awesome. Also you can associate the Album covers with it. And you can add lyrics too all within the MP3 file. And, it doesn't change the size of them. I have 6000+ songs and Musicmatch loads them in about 3 seconds. Most of the time Play Center took 20 or it just crashed(SB-Live 5.1 Platinium,384 MB Ram). Winamp is okay, but it doesn't match-MM. And for fidelity, nothing comes close to the Dfx add-on. If you heard that baby, you'd never use Creative Play Center again, I guarantee you. With Winamp, I wanted to autoload it, and having it minimized in the task bar, that way you wouldn't have to start it to play music through sysmetrix.

Chas......thanks for all the media player bits.........interesting

BTW - i know Jafo's an admin and he quite rightly picks up on some of our spelling and grammar errors and i like that. It also adds another bit of humour to the board which is great. I have total respect for Jafo and my comment was purely a bit of humour wondering if he would pick up on my word "skinability" which i see i spelt totally wrong anyway.
