And that's exactly what they did. This weekend the Hogs pulled into Milwaukee and surrounding areas in all their roar and thunder, born to be wild glory for the Harley 100th Anniversary. Happily received with people standing on overpasses and corners waving and cheering them all along the way. Parties were held in too many places to speak of. The biggest of them all was at the State Fair grounds that was rented out by the main Harley dealer in Milwaukee. Even the smaller dealer in a town called Thiensville "a mile long and wide, actually where I grew up" had 3 blocks of entertainment and stands for all the Harley riders. Just driving through you could feel the excitement. We went ahead and drove down to the lakefront which had the second largest get together going. It was just amazing! The amount of Harley's was just incredible. It was really a sight to be seen and I feel privileged to have been able to have been there and seen it. These are a few of the pics I took while I was down there. Sorry, I do not have the best of digital cameras so they are not the greatest. The first 3 show how the streets were lined up with parked Harley's that went for miles along the lake front. One showing that even the middle of some of the wider streets was used for parking. The other 2 are a couple of Bikes that I thought were worth grabbing a pic of.
