Anyone have any ideas?

OK guys and gals. Anybody out there have good links to some FREE (not warez) programs that are a must or can help me out with my daily computing experince? Your advice to date has helped me find Adawre, Sygate Firewall, rainlander, and many more.

Any Ideas? Thanks!

What about 30 day trial? I would highly recommend Tweak XP, Advanced Registry Optimizer and BPS Spyware Remover:

I wouldn't recommend the BPS product. Spybot Search and Destroy is free and is a good companion to Adaware, also free, which Kona already has. Many people use both to check their PC's for spyware.

But Spybot literally has been ripped by at least 3 outfits that are selling products based on it. And Adaware also evidently has been ripped by people who are turning around and selling what people could get for free.

My point: BPS Spyware Remover is one of those products that has been put together based on rips of components and database content from these two free products. And it is not free. Kona: here's a list of various types of software based on polls and recommendations from people at the DSLReports (aka Broadband Reports) Software forum, just to add to your reading material.

it takes a snapshot of your desktop and saves it as a jpeg (it does support other formats) and puts the pic in your documents.

all with the touch of one button!

I found www.analogx.com a few years back, check it out. A wide variety of utils and such, all free. I have several installed, nothing I personally use everyday of the week, but worth a look. All worthy, solid apps-you're bound to find something interesting.
