All taskbar buttons show doubled with older buttons underneath new ones and offset.

How to get rid of older buttons?

Hi, Just have this show up without any updates to windows 10 or Start10 software, The older buttons from sometime ago just show up underneath my normal buttons of today and they are offset so they show up to the right of the new buttons. See Picture.

I am almost afraid to uninstall the software and reinstall it. They might disappear completely!

Is there a fix other than just making the taskbar completely black which hides the buttons from before?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 version numbers. Please use Winver.exe to get to full version numbers.
  2. Start10 version installed.
  3. Does reboot help resolve the issue.
  4. Need to know your screens resolutions and scaling applied (100%, 125%, etc?)
  5. Any other relevant information.

Thanks

Win version and start10 version are in the picture below.

Reboot does nothing.

4k screen resolution @ 150%

Been running all this except the win version for some time Windows just did an update to 21h1 after the problem started so that's not the issue.  I will be reinstalling but would rather remove completely all the folders and relevant data in the registry if you can send me instructions on which parts to take out to make a clean install. Does the issue goes away if you set your scaling to 100% and restart explorer.exe?

no, this is not getting me anywhere can you actually help or not?

I need instructions on doing a clean removal of start10 to see if some of the files have become corrupt.

Hello,

I just note that your taskbar issue is very similar to those who having issue while running Windows 10 V21H1. That is why I suggest you to try those to confirm it. More on that here : https://forums.stardock.com/505139 .

But, If you feel that is not the case you can try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling. Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Thank you,
