oh, was that not nice enough for you? ..I just figured I would make it simple and to the point so I didnt waste anyones time. I guess I was wrong to think that I was being nice by doing so. So if someone wants to help me out I would appreciate it very much.

lol, seemed nice enough to me lajoka, maybe the frowning "smilie" could have given the wrong impression or something...

Anyway, I have not had your problem so can't help specifically but have you tried the obvious first step of uninstalling and re-installing sysmetrix? Apologies if you think that's dumb advice

Telling us what versions of windows and sysmetrix you are running may help the search for truth!

Oh sorry, I was using the frown smilie because that was the mood I was in at the time..frusterated because I want sysmetrix to work. I am on Windows XP Pro, and I followed the links from this site to the download site to get sysmetrix..I think it says sysmetrix2, I will reinstall and let you know what happens.

Nope, Still no luck I dont know what the problem is. I thought it might have been my Direct X version but I updated to 9 and it is still doing the same thing. I may try searching for a different version of Sysmetrix.

Well, I installed every version of Sysmetrix I could find and It is still doing the same thing, It is beyond my knowledge at this point and I am forced to wait for an answer to present itself.

It looks like MSWINSCK.OCX is missing. I am not sure if SysMetrix is supposed to install it. Try to e-mail [email protected] or maybe KarmaGirl here can help.

You may just have an unregistered version of mswinsck.ocx, to register it, do this:

Open the Run window

Type the following exactly...

--
regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx
--

Hit 'OK'

This will register the OCX and hopefully fix your problem.

ok, I figured out the problem. I had so many different versions of Sysmetrix scattered around in my computer I forgot which was which so I deleted them all except the version 1.0.0 and updated to 2.04 so now I am good to go.
