I've run EGS via Lutris on Manjaro before and was able to install and run GalCiv 3 on it.
To be clear though: We do not officially support any games on Linux. Even on Steam you are using third party compatibility tools.
I appreciate the response, but you have completely missed the point. I can run games from the Epic Store if I choose to, it's just a PITA, and I have no desire to do so.
I understand the commercial incentives to exclusively release on a platform. And Stardock need to make the right decision for the viability for their game. It's an unforgiving business.
But asking ~$45USD for an alpha release bound to an unpopular platform is not something I'm interested in doing.
I'm keen to play, but I'll wait for it to be in a format that I find convenient to consume.
