Need an experienced WB skinner please

Would any experienced skinner be willing to look at the files in my latest upload, "Caramel light" and tell me what's wrong with it? Some people can download and install it and others can not. The skin Originally had a generic name "skin1", but when I renamed it, I made sure all the files were changed. I don't know what the problem is. I'm baffled. Thanks

I had a similar problem with Texas!,it was getting cross referenced with another skin.I had to delete it and go to SS and open the skin and use file-save as-...to create a new version with a different name.I didnt have to change anything inside the folder. Please dont delete your skin yet tho,you might be able to fix it just by resaving, renaming and reuploading.Does that make ANY sense?

Thanks brain, but I already did all of the above last night. It was re-uploaded in the wee hours this morn. This one's got me stumped.

The problem seems to be with the folder name. If I install the file by double-clicking the wba file it creates a folder named Caramel light with a space between the words. If I unzip the file to a folder and move the folder into WB the folder is named Caramellight, with no space, and then the skin won't load.

It probably depends on which version of WB someone is running. I think the latest versions handle folder names better than the older builds. It's always best to not have spaces in a filename if it's going to be handled by a web based app like the uploads here are. All WB skins get renamed to have .wba for the extension.  It might take out any spaces too but I'm not sure about that.

Did YOU rename it,or did you let SS rename it?

The wise DavidK may have found your problem.

Thank Davidk and brain. Now to fix it, I would assume I will need to delete the space from the name and rezip it. correct?

and if I do rename it, rezip it and re-upload it, will I loose all my current dl's and comments?
