I made a wallpaper of 'bliss' that comes with win xp, I made it night time, and I was wondering if I put it up if I would get in any kind of trouble...

If you made it by modifying the original wallpaper, then yes. If you made it from scratch in the style of the original, then no.

But something like that would be a good idea... especially for desktopX, have them hueshift through a 24 hour period from dayshades to nightshades.

principally it should be no problem to upload it here. just think of all the rips of the default XP icons here.

That doesn't make those 'rips' any less of a copyright violation IMHO though. But that's another discussion altogether, and one which has been recycled more than enough times.
