HEH... name it something REALLY scarey... neediest things!

When I was little we lived close to some ghost towns from the Rocky Mountain Gold rush. Some of them were remote, just shacks on a mountain peak really. But they were fun to explore and imagine about.

I love to visit old ghost towns. Just to see and imagine how people lived back then with out all of the amenities of todays world.

Strong people, they were. Sometimes just a single one, building a shack out there where winters were really very hard. And for a little Gold Dust -- though I think some people really just need the space. Maybe that is why we fight so much...

Well I have been trying to update the picture on my desktop image but for some reason it will not let me any more so I will post this link so you can see the updates.

I have updating troubles too, DD3d. What I do is to close the browser (I have mine set to dump cache, cookies, history....) then reopen and upload first thing. That usually works. Then, sometimes it doesn't work I think, but if I refresh I see it has after all. ...but yours did not update.

That's looking good. I always, always did want to see a work step by step in progress. Thanks for letting me do that. It is looking great! Much different than I expected, but I don't really know what I did expect.

Lee...be careful that with single-point perspectives you don't forget the others do still exist.....walls parallel to the viewing plane will still achieve a vp to extreme right and left...and pitched rooflines have their own vps as well...

It's not. I’m deleting all my work. Thinking of taken down my site as well. Can’t seem to even give my stuff away for free. My web site has not received 1 e-mail for any work from the time it opened in 2000. And what is funny it flippen free. I mean I should get real, if I can’t even get a contract with free art what is the point. I started doing this in 2000 because I had to quite a business I had and could not work out side of the home so I could take care of my wife after her heart attack, and she could not wear her prosthetic leg. And then God granted us with my wonderful boy. I was hoping to do freelance work for free for about 6 months to a year then charge a reasonable amount, then hopefully get a job or contract for some things thru Stardock, The Skin Factory, or some other reputable company. It’s now been 3 years and I’m still sitting at home with nothing to show for it.Welp life goes on and you live and learn.

Ah... You are very skilled. I hope you will think of just storing it on discs or something. I know at times things can seem dismal, especially with the things you have been going through. But this is your work, and it is valid and good!

At any rate, thank you for the pieces that you have shared and that I have been lucky enough to enjoy. I wish you and your wife and Noah all the luck in the world.

I also really liked that wall you were making for a request. One thing I liked about it was that it was compositionally designed with an internet site in mind. The ribbon, I could imagine, would serve to lead the readers eye to a navigational panel on the left side (a pointer of sorts). It was simple for lots of additions by the site manager.

And besides everything else I think you are a really nice guy who happens to be dealing with a lot right now. You surely do need some breaks... but they will come.

And besides, I have a lot of experience lately of feeling kind of stuck taking care of someone. You are right and good to be doing what you are doing, yet there are times that you mighat feel your life is just going down the drain. From my experience, when you have reached a real low point like that, then it is time to step away a bit and avoid taking any action that might negativly impact your life. The work you spent making the art is worth preserving, if only on a disc. And no matter what happens, there will probably come a time when you want and even need to revisit those efforts. The dark corners of one's mind are better to be considered" read only" and when you are lead to visit those regions give yourself that gentle favor and take no permanent action.

the update looks good, however I am not sure about the stones on the ground, seems they are too far from each other, maby a path in the middel from the 'gate' would be nice too...

Dream, I watched Ghost Stories on tv. They talked about ghosts still living in the Old West. Someone took a photo of a graveyard or grass area. There was an old man (spirit) sitting there. Before the photo shoot, there was no one there. After the photo shoot - there was this old man. I forgot who was the man. He wore a cowboy hat & looks rigid. That freaked me out. It was interesting. Before & after the pic was taken. I think a tourist took the photo. The pic was black & white.

Can I be blunt? I'm going to assume so. Fact is, deleting your work is just stupid, and people do take your work, your getting pretty good downloads here now, and were with your previous work. I'm not sure about not getting any offers through your site, as the most likely place people will get to it is through here, and if people know you through here they probably will try to contact you through here. I can't blame you for trying to make a living out of this, I'm sure nearly all of us want to, but I'd say at LEAST 90% of us aren't. I still work at walmart, and I've been doing this stuff for years now, I even have a degree in graphic arts. But you'll notice I'm still doing it, and still enjoying it. Honestly it doesn't matter what others think of your work, or for what person your doing it for, do it for yourself cause thats what matters the most. One thing I've heard repeatedly from anyfreelancer I know, get a job working for someone first, you'll learn more doing that than you ever will in school, or by yourself.

I'd hate to see you just give up and especially throw all your work away, and I'm not sure what you expect but the people here DO like your work, and tell you that often. If you still decide to give it up at least for now, keep your work anyway. If you want to get back into it, or have an offer your going to need some work to show off as a portfolio. You've been almost just like this before a month or so ago and we talked you out of it then, and you got promoted, hopefully we're able to convince you again.
