how to remove windows XP user icon??

hey
i want to remove my windows XP user icon while keeping xp style start menus.
the user icon is that stupid little picture right next to your name at the top of the start menu.

Display Properties ----> Appearance tab ---> Advanced ---> Uncheck the radio box "Show user icon in start panal (if not domain)"
