Start11 performance issue

When start11 start button is clicked, it cause cpu performance hike.

When the start button is clicked in windows 11 the start menu opens but the cpu usage increase from 0-1% to 13.-15%.

And when normal start is opened in windows11 (not start11) the cpu usage changes from 0-1% to 5-6% only.

The start11 takes double the cpu usage than normal default windows 11 start.

Please fix this.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Is the CPU load stay up long? How long? Which Start11 Style you're using?

No, this doesn't stay long. As soon as the start is closed the cpu usage returns to its original value. I am using windows 10 start11 style. This also lags the animation of start menu when cpu usage is high.

I think, it is because Windows 10 mode load a lot more info/icons/etc if compare to Windows 11 panel. But, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Are you using 0.94?

Also are you saying the cpu remains high whilst it is open or only during the 1/3rd of a second while it animates in?

The first open will use more CPU as icons are loaded on paint but once painted CPU should drop to basically nothing.

Its while opening the start menu.

But when i selected windows 11 style in start11 now the performance became worse. Now it goes directly from 1% to 15%.

When I switch off the start 11 start then the windows original start bar only goes from 1% to 6-7%.

Rest all are fine.

Just some suggestions:

1) When the Windows  + s or the search icon is clicked please let the start11 search bar be opened (or an option would be better)

2) And in the context menu please disable the option 'pin to start' instead show 'pin to start11' without clicking more options. Without this, it causes confusion

3) Same point 2 for windows search so that it can be quick to pin the app into start11

4) All the above points should not be permanent change. It should be easy to revert back to original (System default)
